Bobby Van was often a panelist on Tattletales (1974) with his wife, Elaine Joyce. The host of the show was Bert Convy, who also died from brain cancer.
Was nominated for Broadway's 1971 Tony Award as Best Actor (Musical) for a revival of "No, No, Nanette." And 43 years later, to open the 2014 Tony Awards, host Hugh Jackman did so hopping to Broadway, just as Van had done in his famous sequence in Small Town Girl (1953).
